A beautiful summer evening, the wafting aromas of popcorn, hot dogs and your favorite beverage and the pleasing sound of the crack of a bat sending a baseball skyward…now that's a priceless memory just waiting to happen…..and we'll get you right in the middle of all the action! The game is scheduled to start at 6:40pm and not only will we get you to the area around the Stadium in time for a quick meal before the game, but we'll be there to whisk you home right after the game…..and you won't have to worry about those dreaded parking hassles! Join us as we continue our ever-popular Magical Mystery Tours where the fun never stops as we take you on a "secret" trail of discovery to some of the most unique places around the state and to venues that are often so way-off-the-beaten-path that you might never have known they even existed! We'll fill the day with exciting discoveries and locations (with your independent lunch along the way) and we'll contact you prior to the day of the tour IF there are special clothing or documents that will be needed, although we feel safe in saying that you will NOT need a current passport! While on the tour we'll give you clues along the way to our destinations for you to decipher, but we can't divulge any more information because that would spoil the fun and surprises! Saturday, August 7th, 7:45am-4:00pm; independent exploration of Boulder's annual Pearl Street Mall Sidewalk Sale and the Boulder's Farmers Market. Eager for any excuse to visit the famed Pearl Street Mall and all that it has to offer, you'll arrive just as the numerous merchants, stores, booths and vendors open up for business for the much-anticipated Mall-wide Sidewalk Sale! You'll be able to wander the pedestrian-friendly Mall and marvel at the wares available from some of the 175 stores and merchants located "on the Pearl" such as Peppercorn, Little Buddha Imports, Feather Thy Nest, Jackalope & Friends, Red Letter Secondhand Books, Two Sole Sisters and Knit Wit to name a few! There are eateries such as The Cheesecake Factory, Papa Ben's Brittle, Foolish Craig's Café, Lolita's Market and Paradise Bakery and Two Spoons to satisfy any food craving you might have, or wander over just two blocks south to the fabulous Farmers Market for some really fresh fruits, vegetables and other goodies sure to make your taste buds ecstatically happy! So come along and spend a great summer day exploring downtown Boulder's most eclectic and tempting stores, boutiques, shops, markets and cafes! Thursday, August 12th, 8:15am-4:30pm; Exploring in and around Florence and Canon City. You may have driven right through the towns of Florence and Canon City without even knowing of the number of various diversions and sights that these places have to offer, but today we'll introduce you to just a few of them! On today's tour you'll discover the site of the second oldest oil well in the nation (it even beats the ones in Texas!), some friendly and exquisite alpacas, memorable antiques, a wholesome and "honest-to-goodness" vegetable farm, a patriotic salute to our veterans, and possibly a stop at a "holy" winery, too! Dedicated to the belief that there is so much more to experience for those of us who are willing to throw caution to the wind and get away from the interstates and highways to see what wonders the back-roads of Colorado have in store for us, we offer this chance to discover the other sides of the towns of Florence and Canon City! Activity fee is $30.00 per person and most of the venues we will be visiting will either be free or might have a minimal admission fee. Saturday, August 14th, 8:00am-10:45pm; Gold Rush Days Festival and the evening performance of "The Madams of Central Colorado"-Buena Vista. Bored with the "same old, same old" weekend routine in Colorado Springs? Well, this tour is sure to snap you out of the humdrum of Life as we motor up the Pass for our day and evening in the mountains for fun, burros, storytelling and music, history at its finest and so much more! We'll arrive into Buena Vista where you'll have numerous adventures and activities to choose from including the always exciting Burro Races, the unforgettable Toilet Seat Race Competition (yep, REALLY!!), the Costume Promenade, strolling through the booths of over fifty food and craft vendors showcasing their wares, or perhaps a visit to the Wine and Beer Gardens…and don't forget the Mountain Man Encampment, too! We'll take some time off for a leisurely supper after the Festival, and then well be in our seats for the 7pm start of "The Madams of Central Colorado", a historical and hysterical rendition of life among the "soiled doves" of Colorado during the height of the gold rush days where you'll meet some of the "ladies" such as Cockeyed Liz, Laura Evens and Lillian "Boom-Boom" Powers to name a just a few of the characters! Following the end of the show, we'll transport you back safely home after your full day in the history of the Gold Rush Days as only Buena Vista can offer! Tuesday, August 17th, 8:45am-4:45pm; Front Range tour of local Pottery shops and galleries. You've asked for it and now here's your chance to visit some of the premiere pottery shops, guilds, suppliers and galleries all dedicated to the art of pottery and the clay arts! We'll see how the whole process comes together from inspiration to design, from firing to display and from satisfaction to appreciation as we travel the Front Range. With a quick lunch along the way, and including stops in Boulder, Louisville, Longmont, Arvada and Denver and beyond, this tour will try to cover all of the various aspects of the earthenware craft for the novice to the knowledgeable collector so exercise your creative spirit and join us! Invite a friend and come along as we continue our quest to find the best charismatic Chardonnay, the most refreshing Riesling, the most pleasing Pinot Noir, the sassiest Sauvignon and the most mesmerizing Merlot at any of the numerous wineries and vineyards that we will visit on today's tour! Whether you're a seasoned pro with a discriminating taste or just a beginner to the art of appreciation of the varied flavors of the humble grape and all that it has to offer, this will be a great opportunity to taste and sample the myriad of possibilities available as we travel up and down the Front Range today! So bring your most discriminating "nose" and your love for the "fruit of the vine" and join us for a great day with your fellow "grape-nuts"! Sunday, August 22nd, 8:30am-4:00pm; the 18th Annual Salute to American Veterans Rally and the 23rd Annual POW/MIA Recognition Ride-Cripple Creek. By going up on Sunday, we'll avoid the humongous crowds that usually "invade" the small town of Cripple Creek during this very popular weekend that honors our American veterans and POW/MIAs with a patriotic salute of recognition and appreciation. There will be the Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall to visit, numerous street vendors, concerts and live entertainment, a POW/MIA recognition ceremony, possibly a flyover (depending on current conditions), Wild West gunfights and of course, gaming as usual. So come and join Cripple Creek and a few thousand of your closest friends as we express our respect and admiration for the assembled US veterans! Activity fee is $30.00 per person for "door-to-door" ITT transportation; most Rally activities are free or have a minimum cost. Deadline for sign-ups is Friday, August 13th.

Ride with us to a game to be remembered as the Colorado Rockies take on the Atlanta Braves at Coors Field, and this pairing always result in a fierce battle for dominance and bragging rights. We'll leave the Academy and travel north into Denver and get you to the area right outside the stadium with plenty of time to snag a quick meal at one of the nearby restaurants, eateries and sports bars prior to the start of the game at 6:40pm (or check out the $1 hot dog coupon promotion inside the stadium!), and then sit back and enjoy the game! "Overnight" 4day/3night tour, Wednesday, August 25th through Saturday, August 28th, to Telluride and Ouray's Annual Grillin', Chillin' & Thrillin' Music and Brewfest. Escape the summer heat of the plains and join us as we head up into the cooler climates of the High Country and visit both the enchanting village of beautiful Telluride and its soul-stirring scenery and the alpine town of Ouray as they celebrate their very own uniqueness with great barbeque, smoking hot music and refreshing microbrews sure to bring peaceful bliss to all! We'll travel west over the Divide and into the secluded valley that surrounds the charming burg known as Telluride where you can choose to either do some hiking along the pathways beside the river, or perhaps up by the awe-inspiring waterfall, or perhaps rent a bike and explore the River Trail and Valley Floor path system, or you can choose to just stay in town and explore the village with its galleries, restaurants and of course, don't forget the gondola ride up to the ski resort area for some magnificent views (don't forget your camera!). Because there really is life after Telluride, we'll spend some wonderful time over in Ouray where you'll find the relaxed, but joyous, town-folks reveling in their annual GC &T M & B Festival that takes over this pristine alpine hamlet and you'll know why it is known as "Little Switzerland of Colorado"! There will even be time to enjoy the natural hot springs located right in town, so don't forget your swimsuits! Whether this is your first time or your tenth time to join us on our "undisclosed locations" Magical Mystery Tours, you are sure to have FUN, meet like-minded adventurers, and discover some really "off-the-beaten-path" venues in the local area that may have escaped your attention!!! Along the way we'll provide clues for you to decipher as to our next stop, but we can't divulge any other hints or information and your intrepid and "sealed-lips" guide isn't talking!!! Join your friends as we celebrate the end of summer with one of the state's largest and most delicious outdoor festivals featuring live entertainment, educational exhibits and demonstrations, a carnival atmosphere and over 250 arts and crafts marketplace booths all centered around the great food offered by the showcased restaurants and cafes from around Colorado. We'll leave the Academy and maneuver through the infamous Denver traffic and get you up to Coors Field in time for you to snag a quick dinner before the first pitch (scheduled for 6:45pm) either at one of the tempting sports bars or restaurants located near the stadium, or you can enjoy a hot dog and some Cracker Jacks and your favorite beverage of choice right there inside the stadium if you wish! Then get ready for a great and intensive game as these two rivals go "bat-to-bat" in a classic battle for supremacy as the playoffs loom ahead! We'll pick you up right there at the stadium after the end of the game and whisk you straight back to the Academy as you savor the win and the memories! Charge up your favorite "morning wake-me-up" commuter cups and join us for the 34th year of the world-famous Longs Peak Scottish and Irish Festival in beautiful Estes Park and the Festival, the largest meeting of Scottish and Irish clans west of the "old country" is full of activities and Celtic possibilities! Once we arrive into town we'll first establish our places somewhere on the streets of downtown Estes Park for the great Festival parade complete with marching bagpipers, proud clan members, strolling drummers and a few surprises! Once the last parade participant passes us by, we'll hustle on over to the Fairgrounds where you'll have a mesmerizing schedule of events to choose from including the always entertaining Piping and Drumming competitions, the invigorating Highlands Dancing contests, the loveable Dogs of the British Isles Show, the crowd-pleasing Jousting and Medieval Games, various feats of physical strength competitions and too many arts and crafts vendors and food sellers to count! We'll head up into the high country and travel along some of the back-roads and byways that will be festooned with Nature's artistry, and after a quick lunch along the way, we'll reluctantly head back towards home as we continue to seek out hidden valleys of aspen and cottonwoods alive with color against the cool greens of our treasured pines and firs. Sunday, September 26th through Monday, October 4th; Re-scheduled 9day/8night tour of Banff National Park, the Canadian Rockies by train, the Inside Passage by ferry, Victoria and Vancouver City. There just might be a few spaces still available for our very popular Canadian trip that we're re-creating starting with our flight from Denver into Calgary where we'll pick up our vans and motor into Banff for two nights as we check out the glorious Park, then on the third day you'll start your two-day westward train trip through the breathtaking Rockies! We'll eventually arrive into Prince Rupert on the west coast of British Columbia, and the next day we'll board our ferry and prepare for our overnight stay on the famous BCFerries vessel as it maneuvers through the enchanting Inside Passage to Vancouver Island where we'll then explore the Island and stay two nights in Victoria, and our last night will be in Vancouver City before our return flight back into Denver on the ninth day! So update your passport and contact us for a complete itinerary and to see if there are any spaces left! We'll depart the Academy and travel north to the popular 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver for your independent lunch where you'll be able to choose from any of the numerous restaurants and cafes that line the pedestrian mall, and then you're only two blocks away from the Space Theatre (within the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Complex) and your seats for the 2 o'clock beginning of the highly anticipated theatrical presentation of "Dracula"! Based on the original novel, this is the classical story of good versus evil with all of the terrifying psychodrama that we have come to love over the years brought to the stage like you've never seen it before! And once the show is over and the standing ovations are through, we'll pick you up at the Theatre and whisk you back to the Academy avoiding all of the traffic and parking hassles along the way! Come and enjoy a day away from the humdrum of everyday life and immerse yourself in the always educational and entertaining aspects of today's venues! You can choose to spend the entire day at either the lively Zoo or the intriguing Museum of Nature and Science, or maybe you can manage an in-depth visit to both since they are located practically right next door to each other! At the Zoo there will be exotic animals, nocturnal creatures, slithering reptiles and playful vertebrates sure to fascinate and amuse everyone who enjoys experiencing all that is available within the grounds of this award-winning zoo, and thanks to the SCFD all Colorado residents receive FREE admission! Proving that Colorado continues to lead the nation in the number of micro-breweries per capita and celebrating OktoberFest at the same time, we'll sample and taste our way through a number of breweries on today's agenda including the opportunity to taste pilsners, lagers, I.P.A.s, stouts, English ales, wheats and reds…to name just a few of the possibilities! This tour is intended for the knowledgeable and experienced beer connoisseur, so no amateurs or those "under 40", please! We'll get you around those nerve-racking Denver downtown traffic jams and arrive at our specially selected Pub complete with ales and pints, boxty and scones, cabbage and corned beef or anything else to get you in the Gaelic mood, and then we're off to the concert in nearby Broomfield! You'll revel in the intricate vocalizations and solos that these very gifted "Sons of Ireland" have in store for you and their stage presence, professionalism and pure joy in singing will have you shouting for more! After the last encore, we'll whisk you safely back home while you re-live the entire night's experiences with a smile on your face! Friday, October 29th, 9:00am-4:45pm; Spooky and Haunted Colorado! Just when you thought it was safe to wander the state amid the beautiful vistas, frontier towns and gorgeous scenery…. we'll introduce you to some of the spirits that are reported to frequent the venues we'll be visiting on today's tour. You'll hear of the ghostly happenings and reported appearances of some of the state's more eclectic denizens of the nether world…and perhaps even glimpse a shimmering being, too! Along the way we'll take time out to have lunch in a restaurant noted for its ties to the "Other Side". The fabled stories of haunted Colorado will send shivers down your spine and maybe evoke a laugh or two, so invite your favorite friend and join us for a great day of spirits, ghosts, and goblins among the historic locales of the Front Range! Activity fee is $30.00 per person which only includes ITT transportation and guide/driver; a few of the places we'll visit will have a nominal charge that is not included in the Activity fee and are payable at admission. Saturday, October 30th, 8:00am-5:00pm; another chance to "beat the odds" in Cripple Creek! Maybe you couldn't make our trip to Black Hawk and Central City earlier in the month, or perhaps you did join us and it helped you to remember just how fun it can be at the gaming tables, either way here's your opportunity to challenge the slots and dealers in nearby Cripple Creek! Once we arrive into town, you'll be free to roam through any and all of the casinos and gaming parlors arrayed before you in this historic frontier town! So whether you prefer cards, slots, odds or evens, poker or blackjack or just wandering among the crowds of fellow gamers, this is the trip for you!
