Camping Trailers are for rent May 1 - Sept
30
If you are planning to rent a travel trailer from the Outdoor
Recreation Center be sure to take note that in order to do so you
must complete a Travel Trailer Training course, provided by ORC.
The classes are free, every Tuesday and Thursday at 5pm at the ORC.
"[The class is about] customer service by ensuring a perfect
experience. [It] reduces damage, extending the life of the unit and
keeping the fleet 'rentable' for the next customer," said Chuck
Alfultis, ORC director along with the class, a customer hoping to
rent a towable item from ORC must have an electrical hook-up check
of the towing vehicle at least one week prior to the unit checkout.
This is to make sure the customer has a fully functional electrical
system and so, if they do not, their trip does not get delayed by
finding out at the last minute. Other requirements include: either
a 2 inch or a 2 and 5/16 inch ball; a hitch height of either 17 to
20 inches from the top of the ball to the ground; or an A-liner
hitch 13 to 15 inches from the top of the ball to the ground.
