RESERVATION POLICY: Advance reservations are highly recommended. Reservations accepted up to 90 days in advance, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cancellations/changes must be made NLT 30 days prior to reservation date to avoid charges.
NEAREST U.S. MILITARY INSTALLATIONS: USAF Academy, Peterson AFB, and Fort Carson all located approximately 30 miles driving distance southeast in Colorado Springs.

LOCATION: Off base. From the Academy, drive south on I-25 to Colorado Springs, and take exit 141. Travel west on Hwy 24 for 17 miles to Woodland Park. At second stoplight near McDonalds, turn right onto Baldwin (street name changes to Rampart Range Road). Follow road through four stop signs. Road forks just past water-treatment facility, turn right and follow the Farish signs. Approx. 2 miles after the intersection, turn left onto Loy Creek Road and follow the signs to the new entrance into Farish. Facility is 5.9 miles past the stoplight at McDonalds.
DESCRIPTION OF AREA: Located on 655 acres of magnificent mountain woodlands within the Pike National Forest at an altitude of 9,000+ feet on Colorados Front Range just north-west of Colorado Springs. Abundant wildlife and three fishing lakes. Enjoy a mountain getaway with a real backwoods feeling yet within driving distance to many area attractions. A wide range of support facilities is available at the US Air Force Academy, Peterson AFB, and Fort Carson.
SEASON OF OPERATION: Year-round for lodging and for day-use; campsites closed late October and open again in May.

Cottage: rustic house with two bedrooms, private shower, private kitchen, living room with gas-log fireplace and big screen TV with VCR, sleeps eight. $150/night.

Lodge: rustic two-story building with four separately rented rooms. Kitchen and dining room for lodge guests is located in a separate building.
Room 1, private bath, gas-log fireplace, TV, queen bed, bunks, and rollaway, sleeps five. $70/night.
Room 2, shared bath downstairs, TV, queen bed, bunks, sleeps four. $45/night.
Room 3, shared bath (connected), gas-log fireplace, TV, queen bed, bunks, sleeps four. $55/night.
Room 4, shared bath down the hall, TV, queen bed, bunks, sleeps four. $45/night.

Camper Cabins: four separate log buildings, full bed frame and bunks with foam pads, guests must provide sleeping bags or linens, port-o-johns, picnic table, porch swing, fire ring, sleeps four. $30/night with electricity; $30/night without electricity.

* There are no phones in rooms, and cellular phones do not have service at Farish. A pay phone is available.
RESTRICTIONS: No weapons allowed on the facility. Guests staying in lodging or camper cabins may not bring pets onto the facility overnight. Pets are allowed on leash with day-use patrons and overnight in tent or RV only; owner must pick up after pet. No sewage dump station or water hookups. Potable water is available at locations around the facility, and from water buffaloes located throughout the campground. All visitors are advised to call ahead for road and weather conditions prior to making the drive, especially in fall, winter, and spring. Entrance fee of $4.00 per vehicle for day-use patrons. Colorado State fishing license and USAF Academy fishing permit are required for anglers 16 years and older; only daily or annual Academy permits are available for purchase at the office during business hours, and a Colorado license is necessary to purchase an Academy permit. Lakes are closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Eligible users of 10th Services Division activities are active duty and retired military, NAF and DoD government employees, USAFA cadets and Prep School students, reservists, national guard, and eligible family members.
