Farish multi-purpose center makes gatherings easy

The new multi-purpose center and lodging facilites are now open at Farish Recreation Area, located in the front range west of the Academy.
“Farish has definitely grown in popularity over the years,” said the director of the area. Visitors now come from around the world to enjoy the facilities and our many acres of forest and lakes.
He explained that with this new growth has come the need for expanded facilities, especially in the area of conferencing. The multi-purpose center includes a main conference room with gas log fireplace, loft, wrap-around deck, large windows with full views of Pikes Peak, full kitchen and adjacent lodging for up to 30 people. The center is handicap/wheelchair accessible and has full presentation and audio visual equipment available.
The new facilities are located south of Goose Lake, on a patch of high ground that provides some of the most dramatic views of Pikes Peak and the front range of the Rockies, he said. Meetings, training seminars, workshops, retreats, weddings, concerts and other large group activities are perfect uses for the new facility.
The center provides an off-site location for units, squadrons, groups, organizations and families to hold special events for up to 150 people. The location makes it a comfortable, efficient and beautiful woodland setting. The Farish staff, renowned for its quality service, can help people with all thats required to reserve the multi-purpose center for their next event, as well as assist them with lodging requirements at Farish or at nearby locations. Scheduling of tourist and outdoor adventure activities for guests is also available.

Eligible users of 10th Services Squadron activities are active duty and retired military, NAF and DoD government employees, USAFA cadets and Prep School students, reservists, national guard, and eligible family members.
