MOAA Presents - Marketing Yourself for a Second Career

A free 2.5 hour professional lecture for officers and enlisted who plan to leave the service in the next one to five years.  

MOCK INTERVIEWING -   4 Jun - (0900 - 1300)

Learn what questions to expect and how to best answer them, preparing your 30-second commercial, and interview preparation strategy.  Class is facilitated by a local HR professional.

 

DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS (DAV) MEDICAL RECORDS REVIEW -   7 Jun - (0730 - 1630)  

Individuals within 180 days of retirement or separation can have the DAV review their medical records.  Must pre-register - call for an individual appointment. 

 

SPONSORSHIP TRAINING -   8 Jun - (0800 - 0900)

This training is required for all sponsors of incoming USAFA personnel.

Mandatory for all newcomers.  A variety of briefings from on/off base programs introducing newly arrived personnel and spouses to key personnel and resources.  Held at the Milazzo Center.

 

TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (TAP) SEMINAR -   21 - 25 Jun - (0730 - 1630)

Active duty military & DOD civilians who are separating or retiring from service are encouraged to attend   --- spouses are welcome to register and attend.

An informative, fun-filled base tour that gives insight into the Academy's mission and reveals most of the events/activities to see and do while stationed here at the Air Force Academy.  Stops include:  USAFA Equestrian Center, Cadet Airfield, Arnold Hall, Cadet Area (Chapel), Arts & Crafts Center, Outdoor Recreation Center, and more.

 

GROUP PRESEPARATION BRIEFINGS     Every Monday (except during TAP week) - (1400 - 1600)

Mandatory for all Military personnel retiring or separating.  Spouses are welcome. 

 

READINESS BRIEFING  Pre-Deployment and Post-Deployment Briefings -   By Appt - please call to schedule.  Spouses are encouraged to attend.
